at Rhythm Harmony hosted Drum Circles
Firstly, I would like to thank you fabulous drummers for being so supportive over the last two years, enabling drum circles to return and continue. I've honestly been blown away by the level of commitment and enthusiasm shown by so many. Truly inspiring. It's been quite a journey for us all hasn't it, with so many unwanted changes and new ways of doing things to take on board. And rules. And more rules. Blaaaah. But hey, I am happy to say that our love of drumming has shone through, and as always we have been one team. May our wonderful drumming community continue to grow and thrive. Thank you. x
So now we have ... 'freedom' ... 'self-responsibility'. However, there is still lots of conflicting information and some strong and differing feelings and opinions thrown into the mix! And of course we are each in our own individual circumstances.
The ethos of drum circles is very much one of inclusivity; it is important that everyone can attend with confidence. I strive to make drum circles 'safe spaces' in every sense. The venues that I hire have their own policies in place which need to be adhered to, and are in line with the Government's recommendations.
Set out below are the current 'rules' at drum circles, so we all know what to expect. Please do familiarise yourself ... less time talking about it at drum circles means more time spent drumming! It also helps to keep Rhythm Harmony Drum Circles alive and beating!
This policy will be reviewed regularly.

ATTENDANCE
If you feel unwell on the day of the Drum Circle then please do not attend. The symptoms of Covid19 are on the Government and NHS websites, so please keep yourself up to date. Stay at home if you have a high temperature or display any of the other symptoms listed.
Although it is no longer a legal requirement to 'check in', this is still required by the halls that I hire, in line with the Government's advice, helping to contain any outbreak that may be linked to a venue. Your email is required at the time of booking, for this purpose.
ALL Drum Circles are Ticket Only (No Drop Ins) you do not need to print your ticket
The number of places at each Drum Circle will be limited according to the size and layout of the venue, to allow us all some space. I understand that this can be frustrating (believe me!), however please do bear with it. Inclusivity is important, and common sense shouts out to err on the side of caution, reflecting the feeling of many of our drummers.
INDOOR DRUM CIRCLES
The kitchen will be closed. Only the 'disabled' toilet will be in use.
Windows & doors will be opened where possible to allow fresh air in.
Hand sanitizer will be provided for use upon entering the premises.
Please be considerate of those who may wish to take a more cautious approach, and maintain a respectful distance from people that you do not normally spend time with.
The wearing of face coverings is encouraged by the various Community Centres, Village Halls etc. but of course the choice is yours.
Your health and safety is YOUR responsibility, and you are also required to respect and accommodate the safety of other people. Sensible measures will be implemented to the very best of my ability, and I take no further personal responsibility.
